Series Crackdown Readathon: TBR!

First Ever Readathon

As I left work last night, I made the snap decision to take part in my first ever readathon the Series Crackdown Readathon hosted by The Book Moo. It’s a 10-day long readathon that started yesterday (26th June) and will run until the 4th of June. The idea is to read some of the neglected series’ on your shelves. I am super bad at starting and even worse at finishing book series, which means that I have plenty to choose from.

So, after they are totally let me count Caraval by Stephanie Garber – my current read – as a book towards the readathon, I jumped on board. (Caraval is technically part of a duology, OK?) I’m a slow reader so I don’t know how many books I’ll actually get through. But, let me show you what I’m planning to try and read:

My TBR

  • Caraval by Stephanie Garber

Caraval is my current read and I need to finish it before I move on to something else. Otherwise, I end up in a never-ending cycle of starting but not finishing books.

  • The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis

I started The Chronicles of Narnia Series much earlier in the year and just haven’t gotten around to finishing it yet. So it will be nice to use the Series Crackdown Readathon to finish it off.

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling

As this Readathon extends into June and June is the launch of the Wizarding World Book Club, I need to read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at some point so why not for Series Crackdown? I just bought the absolutely gorgeous illustrated edition so this should be a wonderful read.

  • Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
  • Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Finally, these two I bought around the same time as the illustrated editions of Harry Potter. They looked so cool and definitely an alternative way of telling a story.

    1. Hey! Thanks so much for stopping by! It was a great Readathon and I’m glad it was my first. Can’t wait for the next one – you will definitely see me there! Also I finished 3 out of the 5 books I had planned to read. I’m devouring the fourth even though the Readathon is over!!
